Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Jas Tandon, the independent developer of The Manager ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App or this website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Important. The Manager is a productivity and wellness tool, not a medical, healthcare, or financial-advice service. Its insights — including fasting, nutrition, glucose, blood-pressure, fitness, AI, and any finance features — are for general informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified professional before making health or financial decisions. See Sections 9–11.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all users, including those who post content or communicate with other users.

2. Eligibility & Age

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16, or the applicable age of digital consent in your country, such as in the EEA/UK) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are able to form a binding contract.

3. The Service

The Manager helps you manage goals, tasks, habits, journals, health and fasting routines, and—optionally—connect with others through profiles, following, messaging, shared goals, and challenges. The Service is provided as a free, independent research and personal-use project, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

4. Your Account

Some features require an account (for example, via Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your device and credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information, not to impersonate others, and not to create accounts to evade enforcement or bans. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except as permitted by law. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's standard App Store licensed-application terms; where those terms apply, Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.

6. Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines

The Service includes social and messaging features. To keep the community safe and respectful, you agree that you will not:

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create ("User Content"). By posting or sharing User Content through the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, to deliver your message to its recipient or show your post to your followers). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with others or retained as required by law or in routine backups for a limited time.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to share it. We do not endorse and are not responsible for User Content posted by you or other users.

8. Reporting, Blocking & Moderation

You can report posts, comments, profiles, and direct messages, and you can block other users. We review reports privately and may take action—including removing content or suspending accounts—at our discretion. Reporting and blocking tools are provided to help your safety; for urgent safety concerns or emergencies, contact your local authorities. You can reach our team at support@themanager-app.com.

9. Health & Wellness Disclaimer

The App's health, fasting, nutrition, glucose, blood-pressure, weight, fitness, and coaching features are for general informational and self-tracking purposes only and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not a medical device. Do not start, stop, or change any diet, fasting, exercise, or medical regimen based on the App. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or healthcare provider, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or take medication. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

10. Financial Information Disclaimer

Where finance features are available (for example, connecting an account via Plaid), any spending insights, budgets, or summaries are provided for general informational purposes only and are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We do not initiate transactions, move money, or execute trades. Verify all figures with your financial institution and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

11. Artificial Intelligence Features

The App's assistant and coaching features may use on-device and/or cloud AI to generate suggestions. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation and should not be relied upon as professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to act on any AI-generated content. Destructive or sensitive actions are gated behind your confirmation.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as Apple, Google Firebase, AI providers, and Plaid) and may link to third-party content. We are not responsible for third-party services or their terms and privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their respective agreements.

13. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, software, branding, and content we provide, is owned by the developer and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you. You may not use our name or logo without permission.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the licenses you granted end, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive termination.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL ALWAYS BE PRESERVED. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. BECAUSE THE APP IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
